Aslan Family Calendar
What this app is for. Aslan Family Calendar turns a tablet on the kitchen wall into the household's shared planner: every family member's events in their own colour, a chore board that keeps itself up to date, and an optional link to the Google calendars the family already uses, so what is on your phone is also on the wall. It is built and published by Aslan, an individual developer, for home use.
What it does
The app shows the family's week as a timeline, an agenda, a week or a month, and lets anyone in the house add, move or edit events from the tablet. Chores can be assigned to a person, broken into steps, given a priority and set to repeat, and are shown grouped by person or by day. Everything is stored on the tablet itself: there are no accounts, no servers, no analytics and no advertising.
How it uses Google Calendar
Connecting a Google account is optional. If you do, Aslan Family Calendar asks for permission to read your calendar list and the events of the calendars you choose, so they appear on the family board alongside the events entered on the tablet. If you also switch on two-way sync, events you add, move, edit or delete on the tablet in one of those calendars are written back to that Google calendar. Google data is used only to show and keep those calendars in sync on your own device; it is never sent anywhere else. The Privacy Policy describes this in full.
